31st dec 2008, the last day of year 2008. this year hasnt been a great year i supposed. too many things happened, but well, not forgetting those happy memories (:


SCHOOL
school has been pretty good for this year. passed my semestral exams pretty okay, and now going through the last lap before graduation.

FAMILY
always home late due to many reasons, but well, its still alright luh, i shld be a good girl and stay at home more often. hahaha.

WORK
3 mths of PRCP. now left with 1 more month to the completion of it. like so damn fast we gonna graduate and become a Registered Nurse. i totally cant imagine how it would be like.

anyway, to sum up Year 2008,

spent this year birthday at st john day camp. super tiring, but still alright lah. dinner at coffee shop and back home to sleep. theday was spent just like that =.-

XMAS was super nice (: went k-singing again (: and my lovely friends surprised me with a cheesecake from bakerzin. awww, so sweet of them luh, its like we are singing and suddenly they walked in from the door carrying the cake with candles lighted up and singing b'day song :D i was damn damn shocked luh. appreciated for the advance b'day celebration :D

xmas eve was awesome (: went for bbq at SengKang. we damn zai, didnt book pit but used aluminium tray, to set fire for bbq at void deck. and its a sucess, all the food turned out to be nicely cooked :D total shiokness :)


beer + red wine + hard liqour dont go well together.
the taste totally sucks when mixed and drink.


damnit. im having a bad bad headache now.

19th dec 08, Friday

was on morning shift that day. went back home to prepare some stuffs and went to jas's house to slack awhile. met up with my pri sch mates at Bedok 85 for supper (: don brought along 2 of his air force friends too (: didnt managed to finish up all the food cos apparently everybody's full =.- and my dearest vicky didnt turn up lah :(

decided to head over to E-Hub for movie. don drove all of us over. and we caught the 2am movie, YES MAN! damn funny lah the movie. very very nice (: YES YES YES !

movie ended arnd 4am and he drove all of us back home. slept for 30mins before i wake up and go work. damn shag i tell you.


20th dec 08, Saturday

was DAMN SLEEPY during work. and im super impatient on that day cos of sleepyness. damnit lah. but its okay, survived through work and went home to prepare before i head out again.

met kristin darling first to pass her her belated birthday present and xmas present (: glad you liked it (: and she passed me my early birthday present too! thankyou girl :D

missed the cohesion cos of work :(

head over to Coffee Bean to meetup with the rest. and went over to E-Hub for K-Singing :D sang from like 8pm to 3am. super shag again. but enjoyed the fun over there (: jianwen came and fetch us all on the lorry, WOOO, damn exciting ride lah. HAHA :) home at 4am and concuss on the bed immediately.

slept till today 4pm, thankfully im not working today can. well , there's still many things undone, work and sjab stuffs, gonna go try and finished it up.

6th week of PRCP. gonna end the week soon. working and working. used to going work everyday, alternate shifts every other day. doing things like we are already SN. another 6 more weeks till the end of PRCP. another 2 more weeks till the 2nd Appraisal for us. i have yet to submit my application, will do it when i have the free time. and YAY, nurses' bonus is like WOW and the pay is increasing. GOOD GOOD :D


there's this doc, who looked almost like him, smiled like him, talked like him and even the way he walked is the similar to him. well, its nice to have someone like him working tgt.


had a short and sweet meetup with the girls at PS ytd (:
simple dinner at Ajisen.
short catching up session at starbucks.
& gift exchange for xmas :D


my schedule is like fully fully booked. cant wait for countdown, gonna be damn fun la :D and tmr's meetup with the pri sch mates for supper :)

am lost

5th week of PRCP. more and more responsibilities. more stuffs that we have to know. doctors handwriting are the worst. sometimes it seems to me that they are drawing rather than writing. i have no idea why on earth they must rush through their writing. but some have very nice handwriting though (:

NUS Nursing Students started their attachment today. 2 of them are attached to my ward. and 1 of them is yanqi (: haha, was a surprise when i saw her :D but their uniform looks abit weird though.


i hate to push away meetups dates just cause of work. its like so irritating lah!


my driving is getting better :D


ZOUKOUT is on 13th DEC. this saturday. still thinking if i should go anot.

YAY. finally DECEMBER is here (:

been very very busy with work. ward is forever so busy, forever full house. the earliest that we can leave ward for afternoon shift is at 10pm. the latest is well, depends on that day. damn damn tiring after a day of work.

4th week working in the ward. getting used to it already. though its hard to deal with fussy patients and relatives, still we have to learn how to manage them although some are being really irresponsible.

and for goodness sake, nurses are not maids. just cause we have to provide holistic care for the patients doesnt means that you all can treat us like maids okay. damn angry lah !!


oooh. and there's this cute doctor in the ward. HAHA (:


practically for the whole of december, im booked. for work, camps, sj activities and my off days are like so little, makes it difficult to meet up with friends. RARR!!


sigh. WHY?

i'm part of you indefinitely

this entire week of working is terrible for me. came down with fever on sunday, but i still went to work on monday despite temp is 38 degree celsius simply cause i dont want to pay back on my off day. the feeling is terrible. coughing, shivering, giddiness and headache. and this carrys on for tuesday as well :((

thankfully am not having fever on thurs. but i lost my voice. it became way too low and well, you cant hear my voice in the ward. its like damn irritating cause i cant communicate properly to patients and staffs. and my nose decides to become a running tap. very terrible during bathing of patients and changing diapers cause you have to "sniff" and "sniff" and "sniff"


yucks yucks and double yucks.
can i please have my voice back.


weekdays is terribly busy. but on sat is slightly better. and yes we have to work on sat. oh well, might as well get used to working on weekends now.


i need my sleep.
i need to get well soon.

first week of PRCP is over. doing junior work for that whole week. very very hectic and busy. still trying to get used to the ward's routine. maybe next week onwards no more junior work to do cos there's more and alot more students coming to the ward for attachment. YAY.


so im like going to fall sick or i already am sick. i dunnoe. feeling hot cold hot. throat damn pain. head damn pain. difficulty in swallowing. body aching. this feeling is terrible and it sucks.


am looking forward to my next off day. i want more sleep please.

half day orientation only. lousy. HR dept is recruiting people into the hospital. maybe considering to hand in application form in december to secure a place. but out of the 3 choices to put, i only have answer to the 2 of them. nvm. think 2 will be enough.

12 weeks later, we'll be staff nurses already. sponsered students are already going to take measurements of their staff nurse uniform next friday. how fast right. this transition stage is crucial, from student nurse to staff nurse. lots of stuffs to learn, lots of stuffs to pick up.

this journey going's to be tough and tiring. but i chose this path. i will go through it, cos its my passion for it.

well well, the *long awaited* day is nearing. orientation tomorrow. most prob is about hospital protocols and stuffs like that.


3 wks of attachments and we are already complaining. now is 3mths. working on saturday too. well, we'll see how things goes then.

damn fun luh the BBQ. our clinical lecturer jessica came too, tgt with her husband and her cute son (: and she brought red wine for us too :D

this is like the last gathering for our class before the monsterous PRCP starts on monday.

the next time we gather tgt again will be 3mths later, our graduation day :D

and so i woke up today feeling damn groggy. only few hours of sleep and plus the hangover effect. went for driving lesson at 1pm. driving when you are damn sleepy is no good. drove all the way from ubi to eastview area and back to ubi.

then back to the driving centre to wait for my FTT E-Trail test. and so coincidentally i saw joanna there (: chit-chatted with her till its time for my trial test and then back to look for her after that. accompanied her all the way till 5.30pm when its time for her FTT.


now am feeling damn damn damn sleepy. time for bed and its class bbq tmr (:

the feeling is not right

woke up at 11am in the morning. very early to me caused i only slept at 5am in the morning. met up with them at city hall. supposed to go for Korean Bbq Lunch Steamboat, but the place was not opened when we went there. sad-ed :((

changed venue and went for lunch at Chong Qing Ma La Steamboat at Suntec City. worth it worth it. the food there is nice and there's promotion too. 4pax for the price of 3 (:

caught the movie Tropic Thunder.

no wonder its rated M18. throughout the entire movie there's blood and more blood and the word fcuk is like in every dialogue. not really worth watching it.

then came night time. its wednesday night and is the week before our 3mths attachment starts, so to ZOUK we went to party the night away (: dancing and drinking all night. not totally gone this time even though i drank alcohol like water. maybe its the mood (:

back to bed by 7am.

weather was bad. rained in the afternoon and there's not much of sun. but still i managed to get tanned, so happy (:

totally drained out alr but we were still thinking of places to go. decided on singing and off we went to sing. from 7pm to 1am. damn shag can, almost fell asleep there.

End of my 3wks Geron Posting. this posting has been a nice one, with lots of learning opportunities and a nice ward and staffs :D think this is the best posting out of so many that i have been to. will miss this ward.

we always avoid to have any ''happenings'' on the last day of the posting. but as always, there's always drama happening on the last day. today's ward is quite chaotic, with all the sudden happenings and another issue in another ward that caused a big drama too.

well well, at least everyone passed this posting with very nice comments from the clinical instructor and the ward sisters. staffs and sisters are very pleased with our performance which made us very very happy :D

next up, a 1 wk break for us to to have a short rest and then 3mths PRCP.

but meanwhile, lets enjoy to the fullest during the 1 wk break :D
